Gamecocks Fall 14-5 At Florida
Tied at 4-4 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, Florida batted around to score 10 runs on eight hits on the way to 14-5 victory over eighth ranked South Carolina on Saturday afternoon to sweep a three-game SEC series at McKethan Stadium. South Carolina is now 27-10 and 8-7 in the league with the Gators 19-18 and 8-7 in the SEC.
Black Defeats Garnet, 44-30, in Spring Game
The Black team outscored the Garnet team 17-7 in the second half on its way to claiming a 44-30 victory on Saturday afternoon in the annual Garnet and Black Spring Game in front of 35,218 fans at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Eighth ranked South Carolina opened up a 3-1 lead on Florida but the Gators rallied for three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning highlighted by a two-out two-run single by Harrison Bader as the Gamecocks fell 4-3 to Florida on Friday evening in game two of a three-game SEC baseball series at McKethan Stadum. The Gamecocks are 27-9 and 8-6 in the SEC with Florida 18-18 and 7-7 in league play.
