Gamecocks Hold Thursday Spring Practice
The University of South Carolina football squad worked out again Thursday afternoon in warm temperatures in Columbia. This was practice number 13 of the allotted 15 spring workouts for the Gamecocks.

SC Native Begins Play in Masters On Thursday
Former Clemson All-American Lucas Glover will begin play in his sixth Masters on Thursday at 12:35 PM off the first tee at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, GA. Glover is the only former Tiger in the field. He is in the fourth year of a five year exemption based on his 2009 US Open Championship.
Gamecocks Begin Series On Thursday At Florida
South Carolina (27-7, 8-4 SEC) heads back on the road for a three-game SEC series at Florida (16-18, 5-7 SEC). First pitch for the opener on Thursday is 7:30 p.m. with the game televised on ESPNU. as the SEC Game of the Week. Friday’s contest is also 7:30 p.m. on CSS with Saturday’s series finale at 3 p.m. on ESPN2. Pankake Walk-Off Homer As Gamecocks Defeat The Citadel 6-5
Joey Pankake led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a walk-off homer to left-center to lift eighth ranked South Carolina to a 6-5 win over The Citadel on Tuesday night at Carolina Stadium. The win improves Carolina to 27-7 with The Citadel dropping to 17-17 for the season.
Tigers Defeat Western Carolina 12-9
Jon McGibbon’s run-scoring single in the ninth inning gave #17 Clemson the lead and the Tigers added two more runs in the frame to defeat Western Carolina 12-9 in front of 1,373 fans at Hennon Stadium on Tuesday night.
Clowney May Not Play In Spring Game
Jadeveon Clowney did not practice again on Tuesday and it’s uncertain whether he will practice again this spring, due to a neck sprain. “His neck and back is still stiff. Whether he goes another snap (this spring), I don’t care,” said Ward.
