Gamecocks vs. Tennessee Baseball Preview

South Carolina (23-7, 5-4 SEC) returns to SEC action this weekend with a three-game series at Tennessee (13-14, 3-6 SEC). First pitch for the opener is 6 p.m. on Friday. Saturday’s game is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and will be televised on SportSouth.

Clemson Baseball Preview vs. Boston College

Clemson (18-11, 6-6 ACC) will travel to Chestnut Hill, MA to take on Boston College (5-22, 0-11 ACC) in a three-game series at Commander Shea Field this weekend. Game times are 2:30 PM (Friday), 1:30 PM (Saturday), and 12:00 PM (Sunday). All three games will be broadcast live on the radio by Clemson Tiger Sports Network. Football Practice Likely To Be Indoors, Closed To Fans

Due to the inclement weather in the Columbia area, the South Carolina football practice scheduled for today, Thursday, April 4, will likely be moved to the indoor facility. Should that be the case, the practice will be closed to both the fans and the media. A final determination will be made closer to the 4 p.m. start time.

USC Falls 6-5 To Furman At Fluor Field

After trailing by three runs, 11th ranked South Carolina stormed back to take a one-run lead in the top of the seventh inning but Furman answered with a homer in the bottom half of the seventh and an unearned run in the bottom of the eighth to defeat the Gamecocks 6-5 on Wednesday evening in non-conference action at Fluor Field. The loss drops Carolina to 23-7 with Furman now 17-11 on the year.
