Gamecocks Get A&M Sweep With 6-3 Win

LB Dantzler homered twice including a game-winner in the bottom of the eighth inning as No. 14 South Carolina scored three runs in the frame on the way to a 6-3 win over No. 13 Texas A&M to sweep a three-game SEC baseball series. The Gamecocks are now 22-6 and 5-4 in the SEC with the Aggies dropping to 18-11 and 5-4 in league play.

Tar Heels Top Tigers 10-3 In Series Opener

Top-ranked North Carolina scored four runs in both the first and third innings and cruised to a 10-3 win over Clemson in front of 3,945 fans at Boshamer Stadium on Saturday night. The Tar Heels, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 24-1 overall and 8-1 in the ACC. The Tigers dropped to 16-10 overall and 5-5 in ACC play.

Behind Belcher, Gamecocks Take Texas A&M Series

No. 14 South Carolina batted around in the first inning to score five times and senior left-hander Nolan Belcher worked into the ninth inning and struck out nine batters with no walks to earn his fifth win of the season as the Gamecocks defeated No. 13 Texas A&M 6-4 on Friday evening at Carolina Stadium clinching the weekend series. South Carolina is now 21-6 and 4-4 in the SEC with the Aggies now 18-10 as well as 5-3 in league play.

Ellington Holds Pro Day

Clemson running back Andre Ellington held his Pro Day on Friday in front of a reported 20 NFL teams.

Ellington suffered a hamstring injury during the NFL combine and missed out on Clemson’s Pro Day.

USC Steals Series Opener From Texas A&M

LB Dantzler tallied a two-run double in the sixth inning to bring the Gamecocks back from a two-run deficit and Graham Saiko followed up in the seventh inning with a fielder’s choice to drive in a run as No. 14 South Carolina rallied for a 3-2 win over No. 13 Texas A&M on Thursday night in the opener of a three-game SEC series. The Gamecocks improve to 20-6 and 3-4 in the SEC while the loss drops Texas A&M to 18-9 and 5-2 in league play.

Mitch Shines at USC Scrimmage

The University of South Carolina football squad moved into Williams-Brice Stadium for the first time this spring on Thursday afternoon as they scrimmaged for the second half of practice number seven.
