Eighteen Gamecocks To Participate In Pro Day

The South Carolina football program will hold its annual Pro Timing Day at Williams-Brice Stadium on Wednesday, March 27, when draft-eligible Gamecock players are scheduled to work out for NFL coaches and scouts. Eighteen players are expected to take part in the event, which will begin at 10 a.m. in the Carolina weight room at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Martins To Hold Cancer Benefit Ball

University of South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin and his wife Anya, are set to host their inaugural “Coaches vs. Cancer” benefit, the “B-Ball of the South,” on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. Proceeds from the event will go to “Coaches vs. Cancer,” a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Several celebrity coaches are slated to attend to support the cause.

Holmes Will Try To Get Gamecocks Back On Track

South Carolina (18-6) is back in action on Tuesday night at College of Charleston (13-10). First pitch from Patriots Point is scheduled for 6 p.m. and is available on the Gamecock Radio Network from IMG College including flagship station, 107.5 FM, “The Game.” It can also be heard at GamecocksOnline.com on the All Access Channel.

Gamecock Baseball Last Week

South Carolina continued the 2013 season with a non-conference win last Tuesday at The Citadel and three losses vs. No. 17 Arkansas in a weekend series at Carolina Stadium. The Gamecocks are now 18-6 on the year with a 2-4 record in the SEC. South Carolina travels to College of Charleston Tuesday night and then returns back to Carolina Stadium hosting Texas A&M in a three-game SEC series beginning on Thursday night with the SEC Game of the Week on ESPNU.

Tigers To Tangle Twice With Georgia

Clemson (15-8) will play Georgia (8-16) in a two-game, home-and-home series on Tuesday and Wednesday. The two teams will face off on Tuesday at Foley Field in Athens, then the two teams will match up on Wednesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.

USC Women Ready For Sweet 16 Shot

Tonight the USC women’s basketball team will try to cash its NCAA Tournament ticket to the Sweet 16 for the second straight season. The #4 seed Gamecocks will play #12 seed Kansas at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. It’s the first ever meeting between the two schools in women’s basketball.
