Gamecocks Miss Out On Mizzou Sweep

Missouri raced out to a three-run lead in the first two innings and behind a combined three pitchers, earned a 4-0 win over fifth ranked South Carolina in the final game of a three-game SEC baseball series at Taylor Stadium. The loss snaps South Carolina’s 10-game winning streak. Despite the loss in game two of the doubleheader, the Gamecocks take the first conference series of the year. South Carolina is now 17-3 and 2-1 in the SEC with Missouri 6-9 and 1-2 in the league.

Boulware Bolsters Clemson To Walk-Off Win

Garrett Boulware’s single with two outs in the ninth inning plated Thomas Brittle to give Clemson a 7-6 walkoff win over #12 Virginia in front of 5,006 fans at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday night. The Tigers, who evened the series 1-1, improved to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in the ACC. The Cavaliers, who saw their nine-game winning streak in the series come to an end, fell to 16-2 overall and 3-2 in ACC play.

USC Wins Missouri Series With 2-0 Shutout

South Carolina senior left-hander Nolan Belcher hurled 8.1 scoreless innings and combined with senior left-hander Tyler Webb for a five-hit shutout as the fifth ranked Gamecocks defeated Missouri 2-0 in game one of the doubleheader at Taylor Stadium. The Gamecocks win the series and improve to 17-2 and 2-0 in the SEC with Missouri dropping to 5-9 and 0-2 in league play. The second game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 5:40 p.m. ET.
