Boulware Leads Clemson Comeback In ACC Opener

Sophomore catcher Garrett Boulware went 4-for-5 with two homers, five RBIs, and three runs to lead Clemson to a 10-5 win over #8 N.C. State in front of 1,642 fans at Doak Field on Friday afternoon. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 8-4 overall and 1-0 in the ACC. The Wolfpack fell to 11-3 overall and 0-1 in ACC play.

Texas A&M Eliminates USC Women At SEC Tourney

No. 17/14 South Carolina mounted a late rally, but fell short of the full comeback in a 61-52 loss to No. 19/19 Texas A&M in the quarterfinals of the SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament Friday afternoon. Seniors Ashley Bruner and Ieasia Walker led the way and spearheaded the final surge, but could not replicate the Gamecocks’ run into the semifinals from last season. Bruner finished with her second double-double in as many games, leading all scorers with 19 points to go with 11 rebounds. Walker finished with 15 points and five assists.

USC Hoops At Vandy For Regular Season Finale

South Carolina concludes the regular season at Vanderbilt on Saturday in the second meeting between the two schools in 2013. The Commodores posted a 58-51 victory in January at Colonial Life Arena. The contest will be televised on ABC Columbia set for a 1:47 p.m. ET start time.

Gamecock Baseball Hosts Rider This Weekend

South Carolina (10-2) is back in action on Friday beginning a three-game home series vs. Rider (6-1). First pitch for the opener is 7 p.m. with Saturday’s contest at 4 p.m. and Sunday’s series finale scheduled for 1:30 p.m. All three games can be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network from IMG College including flagship station 107.5 FM, “The Game.” Live video broadcast is also available at GamecocksOnline on the All Access Channel.
