WACO, Texas (AP) — Baylor struggled in the first half, took an early lead in the second and rallied to beat South Carolina Upstate 73-57 on Monday night.

South Carolina (7-3) defeated Appalachian State (2-8) 74-69 on Wednesday night in non-conference action at Colonial Life Arena behind a season-high 16 points from senior forward Lakeem Jackson.
Breeland To Miss Chick-fil-A Bowl
Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney announced after practice Wednesday that defensive back Bashaud Breeland will not play in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against LSU due to injury. Breeland has been limited by a groin injury that bothered him over the second half of the season.
Gamecocks Sign JUCO Cornerback
Wednesday junior college cornerback Ronnie Martin has signed a national letter of intent with the University of South Carolina. Martin, a 5-10, 180-pounder from Spartanburg, S.C., originally signed with the Gamecocks in February 2011.
Spurrier Says Shaw Is Healthy

Rodriguez Wins Orange Bowl Courage Award
Clemson’s Daniel Rodriguez is the winner of the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award, as selected by a panel of FWAA members. Rodriguez, a redshirt freshman receiver from Stafford, Va., is playing for the Tigers after being awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star in Afghanistan.
