Clemson University men’s basketball overcame an 11-point second half deficit using a 22-3 second half run to tie the program record for ACC wins in a season with a 75-67 victory over Georgia Tech from Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.
The South Carolina State men’s and women’s basketball teams will host North Carolina Central in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference doubleheader at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center Saturday (Feb.23rd ). Tip-off is 2 p.m. for the women, with the men following in a 4 p.m. start.
No. 11 Clemson scored in six of the first seven innings in its 12-1 victory over No. 10 Dallas Baptist at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Friday afternoon. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 5-0, while the Patriots fell to 3-1. It was the first meeting between the two schools.

The Tigers, who took a 1-0 lead in the home-and-home season series and won their 18th game in a row over Furman, improved to 4-0, while the Paladins dropped to 3-1.
Doc Redman made birdie on each of his last two holes, and Turk Pettit finished second overall, leading Clemson to a one-shot victory at the Puerto Rico Classic at Rio Mar Country Club on Tuesday. It was the 75th career win and 10th in the last three years for Hall of Fame Coach Larry Penley.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may soon be adding pieces to their defensive line in pursuit of a more productive pass rush in 2018. First though, they have found the man who will mold that group into a strong unit, agreeing to terms with former Arizona Cardinals assistant Brentson Buckner to be their new defensive line coach.
