Newberry holds off Pendleton, 38-34 to advance in playoffs
The Newberry Bulldogs kept their tremendous season alive Friday night, holding off Pendleton 38-34 at home.
The Wolves are predicted to finish sixth in the South Atlantic Conference this season according to the annual preseason coaches’ poll, while Marshall Lange secured a spot on the preseason all-conference second team.
Newberry plays its final road game of the 2017 season on Saturday, Nov. 4, against the Catawba College Indians, hoping to avoid a four or more game losing streak.

The Newberry Wolves got the 2017-18 season off and running with an exhibition at the University of Miami (Fla.) Wednesday night at the Watsco Center, with the host Hurricanes coming away with a 106-79 win in Coral Gables.
The Wolves are travel to Coral Gables, Florida to face No. 12-ranked University of Miami in an exhibition matchup tonight at 7 p.m.
