Anderson police say woman chased ambulance crew

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Anderson County sheriff’s deputy say a woman has been taken into custody after she called for help with chest pains and then chased the ambulance crew with a sports utility vehicle when they arrived.

Officials say the 41-year-old woman rammed the Medshore Ambulance Service vehicle when it arrived at the home late Tuesday morning. Officials say the woman then got into a car and chased a crew member.

The crew was not hurt.

Sheriff’s spokesman Chad McBride says deputies were able to pin the woman’s car in her yard and take her into custody.

Her name was not released since charges have not yet been filed. She was being treated at AnMed Health Medical Center.
