Lee Brothers, state agency team up for club promo

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Supper clubs have become popular throughout South Carolina, and one lucky group could win the chance to have a meal prepared by one of the state’s most famous cooking duos.

The state Agriculture Department’s “Lee Brother Your Supper” campaign runs from now through July 31. Supper clubs can enter a free drawing for a chance to have Charleston brothers Matt and Ted Lee prepare a meal for their supper club.

In addition to the grand prize, there are also weekly drawings for T-shirts and copies of the Lee brothers’ new cookbook, “Simple Fresh Southern.”

Another cookbook, “The Lee Bros. Southern Cookbook: Stories and Recipes for Southerners and Would-be Southerners,” won a James Beard Foundation Award in 2007.
