Police: 3 gave woman liposuction in condo bedroom
NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — North Myrtle Beach police say they have arrested three people who performed liposuction in a condominium bedroom.
Investigators told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach that they found out about the home surgery after a 19-year-old woman went to a hospital last week with dizziness, vomiting and bleeding.
The woman told police she paid the three people $1,500 before the surgery and owed them $1,500 more.
Investigators say the teen was given several pills before the procedure was done in the condo’s bedroom and woke up as two people drove her home.
Police say 31-year-old Miguel Orozco, 53-year-old Nubia Trujillo and 41-year-old Adriana Neibles were charged with assault and battery and unlawful practice of a regulated profession or occupation without a license. It wasn’t clear if they had attorneys.
