Family holding car show in memory of SC teen

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Relatives of a 16-year-old killed earlier this year in a James Island wreck are remembering the car collecting-teen with a car show in his honor.

The family of Dillon Frisbie is putting on a first annual tribute to the teen Saturday at Citadel Mall.

Frisbie was killed in January in a wreck on James Island. His family says Frisbie and his father frequented car shows and auctions together.

The daylong Dillon Frisbie Memorial Car Show includes food, live entertainment, vendors, product demonstrations and a car wash.

Admission to the show is free, but donations are welcome. Proceeds benefit the Dillon Frisbie Foundation and establish a scholarship fund for First Baptist School.
