Santorum announces rest of SC leadership team

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum has announced a handful of leaders for his presidential campaign in South Carolina.

The Pennsylvania Republican is visiting Columbia Saturday. His campaign says North American Rescue, Inc. founder and CEO Bob Castellani is serving as the campaign’s finance chairman, and state GOP development director Donna Martin is his financial consultant.

South Carolina Alliance of Health Plans president James D’Alessio is chairing Santorum’s state business coalitions. Carolina Pregnancy Center director Alexia Newman is chairing Santorum’s social and family policy coalitions.

On Friday, Santorum announced that former U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett would chair his South Carolina campaign and also serve on the candidate’s national energy policy advisory council. Barrett served in the U.S. House for three terms and made an unsuccessful bid for governor last year.
