One lane of I-26 opened in Spartanburg County

MOORE, S.C. (AP) — One eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 has been reopened after a wreck in southern Spartanburg County.

Highway Patrol Trooper Bill Rhyne says the wreck involving a tractor-trailer rig about 3 a.m. Friday blocked the highway near Moore.

Troopers said both lanes might reopen by 9 a.m.

Officials say the truck overturned north of U.S. Highway 221 after colliding with at least two cars. The truck driver was pinned in the vehicle for about two hours.

Rhyne says six people were hurt and two were flown to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. There was no immediate word on their conditions.
