Three men charged in theft of SC bank’s ATM

PIEDMONT, S.C. (AP) — Three men have been arrested in connection with the theft of an automated teller machine from a bank in Piedmont.

Arrest warrants state that two brothers from Piedmont were charged Thursday with grand larceny, conspiracy and malicious damage to property.

Twenty-one-year-old Kellett Gregory and 20-year-old Stephen Gregory are accused of using a pickup truck to carry off an ATM from the Commercial Bank.

Bank officials say no money was taken from the machine.

Twenty-one-year-old Christopher S. Bishop of Mountville is charged with criminal conspiracy.

It was unclear if the men have attorneys.

Deputies had followed a series of scrape marks a short distance to find the machine.
