Charleston pro soccer team salutes military

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina’s Charleston Battery professional soccer team is sponsoring a special thank-you night to honor local military men and women.

All active-duty military, reservists, retirees, dependents and Department of Defense employees may attend Saturday’s game against the Rochester Rhinos free of charge.

The game is to be played at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island.

Tickets to the event are available for pickup at the Outdoors Recreation Offices at Joint Base Charleston or through the Public Affairs Department.
