PICKENS, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina museum is inviting the public to a free lecture on the art of tattooing.

The Pickens County Museum on Saturday is hosting a free lecture presented by C.W. Eldridge of the Tattoo Archive in Winston-Salem, N.C. Eldridge’s program is about Paul Rogers, a prominent tattoo artist in Charleston until 1945.

Eldridge is a tattoo artist who has worked in San Francisco and Canada. He now lives and researches in Winston-Salem.

Organizers say the lecture is a companion piece to several tattooing exhibits at the museum.
