Bodies of 2 women found in Simpsonville home
SIMPSONVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Police in Simpsonville have charged a man with murder in the death of his girlfriend and her mother in their Simpsonville home.
Investigators say 35-year-old Michael Crane was inside the home, but did not answer Tuesday when police officers came to check on the woman at the request of a worried relative. An officer got inside the house through an open window and found two bodies covered with a bloody comforter in a bedroom.
Authorities say 26-year-old Allison Cross and her 56-year-old mother, Jane Lanser died from several blows to the head.
Crane remains in the Greenville County jail. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
