Heathwood Hall Hires Buscher

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Former Gamecock All-American and Big Leaguer Brian Buscher is the new Head Baseball Coach at Heathwood Hall. The private Episcopal school made the announcement Wednesday. Buscher played for USC’s CWS teams in 2002 and 2003 and was an All-American third baseman in his final season. He went on to play seven seasons in professional baseball, three of those in the big leagues with the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox. Last year, Buscher was a graduate assistant for Ray Tanner’s second straight national championship team at USC.
