Coast Guard search under way for overdue SC boater

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard is looking for a boater in Murrells Inlet.

A statement from the Coast Guard Thursday said the wife of 52-year-old Wayne Miller notified the Charleston sector at around 2 p.m. after he had not returned at noon as expected.

The statement said Miller departed from the Crazy Sister Marina in Murrells Inlet, Thursday, at 4:30 a.m., on a 16-foot camouflage john boat.
