Lowcountry pastor faces 2 more assault charges
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A Summerville pastor now faces four counts of kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct.
Dorchester County Sheriff’s Maj. John Garrison says two additional warrants charging Dale Richardson will be served on Thursday.
The warrants charge the 46-year-old pastor with two counts of kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct. Details are expected at a bond hearing in Summerville.
The 46-year-old Richardson is in the Charleston County jail on a $1 million bond in connection with two previous sexual assaults.
Authorities allege Richardson offered two prostitutes a ride and then drew a gun, bound them and covered their heads. He is accused of taking them to a trailer behind his Ladson church and assaulting them.
His public defender said it was too early to comment but he might have a statement later.
