2 suspects surrender in Spartanburg teen’s death
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A second suspect has surrendered to sheriff’s deputies in the death of a Spartanburg college student.
Sheriff’s deputies say 21-year-old Shaphon Elisse Quinland of Greenville turned herself in Friday.
Quinland is charged as an accessory after the fact of murder in the death of 19-year-old DeAndre Fulton-Smith last month.
Twenty-two-year-old Michael Seth Choice of Greenville turned himself in Thursday and also is charged with accessory after the fact of murder.
Deputies are still looking for 20-year-old Sama Chaka Quinland of Greenville, who is charged with murder and armed robbery. .
Fulton-Smith was found dead in his apartment July 25. He was a student at Spartanburg Community College.
The Quinlands are siblings. Choice is Sama Quinland’s brother-in-law.
It was unclear if Shaphon Quinland has an attorney.
