NC man to stand trial in 2005 killing of SC couple

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — A 26-year-old Tabor City, N.C., man accused of killing of a Horry County couple is set to stand trial on murder this week.

Bruce Hill is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of Diane and Charlie Parker. They were found shot to death in 2005 in their home.

Prosecutors say blood was found on a broken pane of glass in the home. Hill was in jail in Tennessee in 2009 when investigators made a match from the blood to a national DNA database.

Richard Gagnon is serving a life sentence after being convicted in 2008 of murder. Authorities say he was dating Diane Parker’s daughter.
