Vandy Game Set For 7 p.m. Kickoff

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The Gamecocks’ exciting win against Georgia last Saturday apparently has ESPN convinced USC football is worthy of prime time programming. Monday, the SEC announced September 24th’s USC home game against Vanderbilt is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff on either ESPN or ESPN2. The SEC also announced Monday Melvin Ingram earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Ingram scored a touchdown on a 68 yard run on a fake punt against Georgia. He also earned national honors as the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week for a 4th quarter touchdown on after an Aaron Murray fumble. The Associated Press announced Monday that USC is actually ranked 10th in this week’s new top 25 poll. Carolina was originally #11 but only because of a clerical error. The Gamecocks are #11 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. #10 USC hosts Navy this Saturday. Game time is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
