GA teen dies 3 days after being pulled from ocean

GARDEN CITY, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a Georgia teen has died three days after she was pulled unconscious from the ocean near Garden City.

The Horry County Coroner’s Office said 18-year-old Savannah Kinkaid of Canton, Ga., died at a South Carolina hospital Monday morning.

Authorities say Kinkaid was riding a boogie board in rough surf Friday when she fell into the water.

Witnesses pulled the teen from the water and were performing CPR when paramedics arrived.
