SC police arrest son of NC couple slain at home

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina police say they’ve arrested a North Carolina man sought after his parents were found dead in their home.

Myrtle Beach police arrested 26-year-old David William Hamilton late Friday at a motel in the South Carolina city 160 miles from the homicide scene in suburban Charlotte.

Huntersville Police Capt. Michael Kee says the man and woman who have not been named were found inside their home Friday afternoon. Hamilton was living at the home.

Kee said Hamilton may have stopped using medication prescribed for mental illness.
