Teen arrested in shooting death of Florence teen

FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — An 18-year-old Florence man has been arrested in the shooting death of a teen last month.

Florence police Maj. Carlos Raines says Jamad Thomas is charged with murder in the death of 18-year-old Jessie Raheem Brower Jr., of Florence.

Police say Brower was shot in the head Sept. 18 while sitting on the front porch of a home.

Raines says the men were acquaintances.

He would not discuss a motive in the shooting.
