9 Spartanburg students in TV game show pilot
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Nine students from the third, fourth and fifth grades are competing in a television game show pilot dubbed “Diplom-a-rama” at Spartanburg’s Fairforest Elementary School.
Saturday’s event is part of the Michelin Challenge Education program. The students were chosen based on their academic standings by the production company Silent Crow Arts. They will be quizzed with questions taken from their school curriculum.
The winner receives a Michelin college scholarship of $5,000.
The show is to be preceded by a festival on the school grounds with family-friendly activities, food and games.
