Chair of Democratic National Committee visits SC

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee is attending a party rally in South Carolina.

Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and leading Democrats from South Carolina are attending the rally set for Saturday in Charleston.

U.S. Congressman Jim Clyburn and former Gov. Dick Riley are planning to attend as is state Sen. Vincent Sheheen, who ran last year for governor, and state Democratic Chairman Dick Harpootlian.
