Ex-Michelin leader speaking in Greenville

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — The former head of Michelin North America is giving a lecture in Greenville about career management.

Clemson University says former president and chairman Jim Micali is speaking Friday as part of a First Friday Series Leadership Seminar. The talk is about managing one’s career during turbulent economic times.

Micali retired from Michelin in 2008 after more than 30 years with the company and is now a senior advisor to Azalea Capital LLC.

Michelin designs, makes and sells tires for a variety of vehicles, including airplanes, automobiles and farm equipment.

Greenville-based Michelin North America has more than 22,000 employees and operates more than a dozen major manufacturing plants.
