Columbia hosting 33rd annual Veterans Day parade

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Columbia is honoring the nation’s veterans with a parade on Veterans Day.

City officials say the 33rd annual Veterans Day Parade and Memorial Service will make its way through downtown Columbia on Friday.

The grand marshal for this year’s festivities is Maj. Gen. Robert Livingston, the head of the South Carolina National Guard.

This year’s parade features dozens of units, including historic military vehicles, marching units, color guards, floats, various veterans groups, motorcycle clubs and bands.
