Spurrier Among Nation’s Top 15 Paid Coaches

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — USA Today on Wednesday released its College Football Coaches salary database. In the report, South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier ranked 11th in the country on the salary meter. Spurrier’s total net for the year is $2,828,000 with another stat stating he has a maximum allotment of $1,000,000 in bonus’. The highest paid head football coach in the country is Texas’ Mack Brown. This season Brown will make $5,193,500 with a maximum allotment of $850,000 in bonus’. Clemson’s head coach, Dabo Swinney, makes the list as the 36th highest paid coach in the nation.
