ABC Columbia MVP – Victoria Blake

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Victoria Blake has been playing ice hockey since the age of six. Ice Hockey in South Carolina are usually two things that don’t mix. Being a girl and playing a sport that is historically male dominant usually doesn’t mix either, but Victoria used playing with the boys to her advantage and has blossomed into one of the top female defensemen in the country. Blake, who is a sophomore at Chapin High School now plays on an all girl travel team based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She gives up many weekends and social events to travel and thrive at the sport she loves. Click on the video and watch her amazing story.
