COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Irmo native and former Dutch Fork stand-out Dustin Johnson is in second place at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. On Friday Johnson started play on the back nine. He birdied three holes and bogeyed 15. On the front nine it was a reverse of fortune. Johnson bogeyed three times with only one birdie. On the day, Johnson’s four birdies was good enough to break even and finish with a second round of 72 and is second in the tournament at 9-under. He trails the leader Charlie Wi by three strokes who shot a 69. Tiger Woods is tied for 17th and trails Wi by six strokes. Former Gamecock Kyle Thompson had an “up and down” day with six bogeys and one double bogey. But he balanced that play with six birdies and finished with a 74 in the second round. He is tied at 111th at 2-over par.
