Gamecocks Win Season Opener

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–The Back to Back National Champions took home a nail-biter in their season opener with a 2-1 win over VMI. Relief Pitcher Tyler Webb got the victory after newcomer Third Baseman, LB Dantzler hit a rope to center field bringing home go-ahead run in the bottom of the 8th. The Gamecocks return to the field tomorrow at noon for game 2 with VMI. The start time of that game was moved up due to the threat of rain.
