Carter Suspended From USC Baseball Team

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — Relief pitcher Ethan Carter has been suspended from the USC baseball team. Carter was cited for public drunkiness in the Five Points section of Columbia on March 9th. Gamecocks also found out the team dropped five spots to no. 8 in the Baseball America top 25. Kentucky, who is 21-0 to start the year jumps into the top 25 at number 16. The Gamecocks (15-4) have Monday off, and will return to action at Furman Tuesday night. USC will play five games in five straight days. Furman on Tuesday, Wofford at home on Wednesday, and then a three game set beginning Thursday at Carolina Stadium with number one ranked Florida. Top 25: 1.
