Man Shot to Death, Woman Wounded in Inman

INMAN, S.C. (AP) _ Spartanburg County deputies say one person has been killed and another wounded in a shooting at an Inman apartment. Officers were called to the apartment around 12:30 a.m. Monday. The door was locked, and they heard a woman inside say she couldn’t get to the door to open it. Authorities say deputies kicked in the door and found 30-year-old Derrick Fleming dead. The coroner’s office says Fleming bled to death internally after he was shot. Investigators say the woman was holding a towel to her head and said she had been shot as well. She was taken to the hospital. Deputies have not said if they have a motive or any suspects in the shooting.
