Business, government mix at Washington Night in SC

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Federal lawmakers and business leaders from around the state are joining for a discussion of federal decisions affecting South Carolina business.

The annual Washington Night sponsored by the state Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for Tuesday.

U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint is expected to attend, as will five members of the state’s congressional delegation. Those five include Reps. Jeff Duncan, Joe Wilson, Trey Gowdy, Tim Scott and Jim Clyburn.

About 200 business leaders are attending to discuss everything from health care and the economy to free trade and the nation’s infrastructure.
