City of Columbia Election Results

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The polls closed in the Capital City at 7pm Tuesday. Here’s a look at the results, as of 10:20pm: At last check, 95% of the precincts were reporting. In the city council race for the At-Large seat, it shows Cameron Runyan winning with more than 4,800 votes. Brian Dequincey Newman has the lead for the District 2 seat with more than 1,100 votes. It’s a close race to claim the District 3 seat. Moe Baddourah is ahead of Daniel Coble by about 70 votes. Mayor Steve Benjamin confirmed there will be a runoff race between the two candidates in two weeks.
