USC Holds Auction of Faculty, Student Artworks

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) – Artworks by University of South Carolina students and faculty are going to the highest bidders during the school’s 57th annual auction. University spokeswoman Frenche Brewer says sculpture, prints, photographs, paintings and ceramics are up for bid beginning Wednesday. The art goes on display for public viewing at 1 p.m. in the Campus Room of the Capstone building. The event begins with a preview party at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
