Low Voter Turnout

(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C.– The South Carolina Election commission reported a lower than expected turnout for the state Primaries. IN some case, as few as 21 people coming into cast their ballots by noon Tuesday. Disappointing news for some voters who say they were going to come out rain or shine. State officials say there were fewer candidates following a supreme court ruling which forced the removal of more than 2 hundred potential candidates because of improperly submitted paperwork. Whether the rain or lack of candidates kept voters at bay, those who did come out say the right to vote is a freedom too important to miss out on. If you were not able to cast a ballot to have your voice heard, you’re next opportunity will come in November with the Presidential Election.
