Woman Tells SC Deputies She Was Hit for Hair Color

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) – A woman has told Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies that her husband beat her because she dyed her hair. The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported the woman’s husband has been arrested and charged with domestic violence. It was not clear if 53-year-old Ygnacio Juarez Tapia of Spartanburg has a lawyer. A woman went to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center and told a deputy she had been attacked because Tapia didn’t like the fact that she had changed her hair color. She said Tapia beat her when she refused to remove the color. The arrest warrant says the woman suffered a broken nose.
