Free Surgeries Offered to Lexington County Pet Owners

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – Lexington County residents, when it comes to your pets, you have a chance to get an expensive surgery for free. That’s thanks to a $20,000 grant. The Humane Society for Preservation of Cruelty to Animals will be able to offer spay and neuter surgeries – at no cost to you – until the money runs out. Here’s a list of rules that apply: one space· Limit two surgeries per household one space· Surgeries must be scheduled in advance one space· Pet owners must present vaccination records before surgery (if pets aren‘t current on vaccinations, the Humane Society can provide necessary vaccinations) one space· Pets must be at least three months of age one space· Pet owners must show proof of residence in targeted ZIP codes one space· Please visit www.humanesc.org to review Humane Society spay/neuter policies and pre-surgical instructions.
