3 Dead in South Carolina Car Crash

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ Three people have died after a car smashed into a telephone pole in Charleston. Police say it happened early Sunday in the West Ashley section of the city. Authorities say 37-year-old Trevor Homes and 35-year-old William Morton Jr. died at the scene. A third person in the car, 32-year-old Tanz Scott, died a short time later at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital. Autopsies were scheduled for Monday. The victims all lived in Charleston.
