Sister stabs brother at mother’s Lowcountry home

ST. HELENA ISLAND, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 43-year-old woman stabbed her 35-year-old brother to death at their mother’s home on St. Helena Island.

Beaufort County deputies said an argument between Desmond Holmes and Gennece Green on Friday night escalated into a fight and then a stabbing.

Investigators say Green and several other people at the home have been interviewed, and no charges have been filed.

Deputies say their investigation continues.
