Columbia holding drills and skills clinics

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Mayor Steve Benjamin and Columbia’s parks and recreation department are giving kids in South Carolina’s capital city a way to stay active this summer.
The 3rd Annual Back-To-School Drills and Skills Clinics get under way Monday at five different parks and recreation centers around Columbia.
Organizers say the weeklong clinics give kids ages 6 to 17 a chance to learn basketball and tennis and stay active while school is out.
The festivities wrap up Saturday with a competition and a health fair.
