SC man pleads guilty to bomb threat; pornography

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — An Eastover man has pleaded guilty to making a telephone bomb threat to a school and possession of child pornography.
Twenty-one-year-old Sidney Myers pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Columbia on Wednesday to making a bomb threat last November.
U.S. District Judge Joe Anderson will sentence Myers later. He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on each charge.
Prosecutors say Myers anonymously placed two phone calls to Eau Claire High School in Columbia, claiming to have placed six bombs around the school.
No bombs were found.
An FBI investigation linked the threats to Myers’ phone number. Agents say they found five videos on the phone of him engaging in sexual activity with his then-16-year-old girlfriend.
