Gaston man dies after motorcycle accident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A Gaston man has died after a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning. Lexington County Coroner Harry Harman says Jerry Milligan was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Woodcrest Lane when around 4:20 a.m., Milligan apparently did not stop at a stop sign when approaching Fish Hatchery Road. Harman says that is when Milligan lost control and ran into several trees. The coroner says the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. Milligan was 56 years old.
